土地退化, desertification and drought impact our customers’ livelihoods – which, since our customers build and feed the world, means these issues confront us all. This year, the UN’s World Environment Day, June 5th, is spotlighting these three themes under the banner of ‘One Land. Our Future.’

土地退化 is the deterioration or loss of the soil’s productive capacity, and it directly affects some 3.2 billion people, or 40 per cent of the world’s population. 它威胁着生物多样性，对农村社区和农民等最缺乏应对能力的群体造成了不成比例的影响。

支持社区

“慢食”是我们的长期社区合作伙伴之一，这是一个国际组织，三十年来一直倡导生物多样性和保护优质、清洁和公平的食物。 今年，我们与肯尼亚慢食组织和意大利美食科学大学合作，为90名种植传统芒果品种的农民提供支持。

Case IH巴西公司拥有一整套专门为免耕种植开发的种植机，今年是免耕种植在巴西实施50周年。 我们的播种者使用圆盘切割收割后留在田间的秸秆，这样种子就可以精确地定位在地下。 The No Till Planting process reduces soil erosion and enhances water retention while improving soil health and saving fuel, it requires less passes across the field – this equates to an estimated 56 million ton CO2 emissions reduction in Brazil alone!

Our CASE Construction Equipment electric-powered vehicles save up to 53 pounds of CO2 emissions per operating hour compared to their diesel counterparts, along with other benefits, such as being quieter and able to operate indoors. 这些优势正在推动这种零排放技术的采用。
